Three Counties Youth Ballet provides talented children from all backgrounds, with an exciting opportunity to experience the thrill of professional performance within a company environment.

TCYB has been formed as a nurturing company for selected children aged 8 to 17, and hopes to give the children a positive experience for the duration of time each one is a member.

Three Counties Youth Ballet has been inspired by the original creation, by Miss Sharon Shakespeare, of the company in Worcester in 1980. Both Michelle and Georgina were very committed members of the original company and this is where the inspiration to form the new TCYB originated.
Sharon has said “I have waited a long time for the revival of the company and I am extremely proud that it is two of my past pupils who have had the vision to start it all over again. I wish them and all of you the best of luck and the best experience ever.”

We are very fortunate to have as our patron Joseph Sissens, who is currently an Artist with the Royal Ballet Company. Joseph worked with TCYB during Season 5, teaching daily class and creating and rehearsing choreography. It is a great privilege for the students to have the opportunity to work so closely with someone as gifted and humble as Joseph.

Michelle and Georgina are thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity. “Having both been members of a youth ballet company ourselves, we are very excited to be able to offer the same opportunity to a new generation of dancers. It’s wonderful that other dance professionals and beyond share our enthusiasm for this project. The children themselves are thrilled to be working with professional dancers and guest choreographers, and to be performing original pieces alongside more traditional works.”
